It is illegal for guides to receive lower pay than the base fee and for agencies to pay guides less than the base fee, and there are punitive sanctions for both parties.
Before the tour, it is legally required to sign an agency contract or a direct customer contract with the guide. On the other hand, a tourist guide must be assigned from the starting point of the tour. Tourist guides are authorized only to provide guiding services. Services such as travel agency and similar activities cannot be provided by tourist guides.
Tourist guiding services are only provided by professional tourist guides. People who meet the conditions for practicing the profession are employed for the execution of all kinds of services that qualify as tourist guiding under the Law.
